About the Role

JCTTEK is seeking an experienced Lead Advisor, Commissioning & Assurance to oversee independent commissioning and performance validation for advanced AI infrastructure and liquid-cooled data center deployments.

This senior-level position is responsible for ensuring that mission-critical facility systems are properly installed, tested, and validated against the Owner’s Project Requirements and approved design intent. The successful candidate will lead commissioning activities from early design review through integrated systems testing and final acceptance.

The role requires extensive commissioning experience, direct expertise in fully liquid-cooled data center environments, and a current, active BCxP or CxA credential. The selected candidate must maintain independence from equipment sales activities and provide objective technical assessments throughout the commissioning process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the independent Commissioning Authority for AI infrastructure and liquid-cooled facility deployments.
  • Lead the complete commissioning sequence across Levels 1–5, from initial equipment verification through integrated systems testing.
  • Review the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), design documentation, and commissioning specifications during early project design.
  • Develop commissioning plans, test procedures, schedules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee load-bank testing and integrated systems performance testing.
  • Design and supervise deliberate failure-scenario testing to evaluate system resilience, redundancy, and recovery performance.
  • Validate the operation and integration of liquid-cooling systems and supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate testing across mechanical, electrical, controls, cooling, and supporting facility systems.
  • Identify deficiencies, document test results, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and project teams.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, test records, deficiency logs, and final acceptance documentation.
  • Provide independent technical recommendations regarding system readiness, operational performance, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Serve as the designated signatory confirming that the facility has been tested and performs in accordance with approved requirements.
  • Maintain independence from equipment sales and vendor sales activities to ensure objective commissioning decisions.
  • Communicate commissioning status, risks, and readiness assessments to project leadership and customer stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in data center commissioning, mission-critical facilities, or related infrastructure commissioning.
  • Direct, demonstrable experience commissioning 100% liquid-cooled data center halls.
  • An active Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) or Commissioning Authority (CxA) credential. This is a mandatory, non-negotiable requirement.
  • Strong understanding of mission-critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Experience executing commissioning Levels 1–5 and overseeing integrated systems testing.
  • Demonstrated experience with load-bank testing, functional performance testing, and failure-scenario validation.
  • Ability to interpret Owner’s Project Requirements, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and commissioning documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, technical writing, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time to project locations nationwide.
  • Ability to exercise independent technical judgment and provide objective commissioning sign-off.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI Factory deployments and high-density GPU infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with liquid-cooling technologies supporting advanced computing environments.
  • Experience validating electrical distribution, backup power, cooling redundancy, and integrated facility controls.
  • Background commissioning hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation data center facilities.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure deployments and mission-critical facility acceptance.

Compensation and Contract Details

  • Pay rate: $100/hour on W-2.
  • Contract duration: Approximately 6 months.
  • Travel requirement: Approximately 80%.
  • Work environment: On-site at designated project locations.
  • Travel expenses and accommodations will be confirmed during the hiring process.

Important Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must hold an active BCxP or CxA credential and demonstrate direct experience commissioning fully liquid-cooled data center halls. Candidates who do not meet both requirements will not qualify for this position.

The successful candidate must also be able to perform commissioning duties independently and provide objective assessments without conflicts arising from equipment sales responsibilities.

How to Apply

Qualified candidates should submit an updated resume highlighting their commissioning experience, liquid-cooled data center projects, MEP expertise, commissioning Levels 1–5, load-bank testing, integrated systems testing, and active BCxP or CxA credential.
